Our Story

Riverside Kitchen first took shape in our small riverside cafe in Bakewell. We moved to our new home, the iconic Design Museum & Cafe at David Mellor, in August 2021.

Founded with a passion for good food and great company, Riverside Kitchen began as a small local venture with a big dream: to bring people together over meals made with care.

Inspired by the natural beauty of our surroundings and the richness of local produce, we’ve grown into a beloved destination for locals and visitors alike.

Our team is made up of experienced chefs, barristers, and front of house staff who are dedicated to providing the best possible experience for our customers.

We work together to create a welcoming atmosphere and ensure that every dish is prepared to perfection.

Our Location

Housed within the design museum at the iconic home of David Mellor Design, you'll find us in the heart of the Peak District, but just a short hop from the centre of Sheffield.
